Chico is the largest city in Butte County and is located 75 miles north of Sacramento. Our section of the valley is called the North Valley. The three main cities/towns are Chico, Paradise and Oroville, and there are many smaller towns in the surrounding area. We have a large agricultural community and our area grows rice, almonds, walnuts, peaches, and many other crops to feed the country. Chico is the home to Chico State University and Butte College.
